
The Ballet Arts Access Scholarship Fund
The Ballet Arts of Jackson Access Scholarship Fund exists to provide access to high-quality classical ballet training for youth who demonstrate financial need, enthusiasm for dance, and a commitment to regular attendance and respectful participation.
Scholarships will include one year of dance instruction for one dance class. Scholarships may be renewed annually based on:

Effort
-
Conduct
-
Continued financial need
A new scholarship application will be required before the beginning of each school year. For returning students, a teacher reference or a copy of class progress report will be required.
Student Qualifications:
The student should demonstrate:

Genuine interest in learning ballet

Ability to follow instructions
-
Respectful behavior
-
Regular attendance
-
Parent / guardian commitment to transportation and communication
Especially for beginning students, enthusiasm and commitment matter more than natural ability.
Important Information:
If the scholarship is awarded, the student agrees to the following:

Attend at least 85-90% of classes

Arrive on time
-
Wear appropriate dance attire
-
Treat teachers and classmates with respect

Notify the studio of absences
The Academy agrees to the following:

To provide quality dance instruction

Support the student’s growth

Keep financial information confidentia
The scholarship committee will be made up of the Artistic Director, members of the Board of Directors, and those individuals funding the scholarship who wish to participate. All committee members will sign a confidentiality agreement regarding financial information of applicants. Applications will be scored individually according to the following categories:
